Some 394 people in Kenya have tested positive for Covid-19 from a sample size of 2,923 tested in the last 24 hours.
This pushes the total confirmed cases in the country to 139,842, with 1,523,313 cumulative tests conducted so far.
From the positive cases, 374 are Kenyans while 20 are foreigners, with 209 males and 185 females.
The youngest positive case is an eight-month-old infant while the oldest, a 95-year-old.
The positivity rate has moved down by 3.2 per cent in the last 24 hours to 13.5 per cent.
By county distribution, Nairobi continues to lead with 246 confirmed positive cases, followed distantly by Kiambu (29), Machakos (23), Uasin Gishu (22) and Kitui (20).
A total of 2,217 patients have recovered from the disease in the last 24 hours, 675 from the Home-Based and Isolation Care and 1,542 from health facilities across the country. The total recoveries now stand at 96,578.
Sadly, 14 deaths have been reported in the last 24 hours. Six of these occurred in the last one month while eight are late death reports from facility record audits. This pushes the cumulative fatalities in the country to 2,258.
1,576 patients are currently admitted in health facilities across the country, with 6,182 more on Home Based Isolation and Care.
Some 205 patients are in Intensive Care (ICU), 46 on ventilatory support and 130 on supplemental oxygen. 29 patients are on observation.
Another 257 patients are separately on supplementary oxygen, with 15 in the High Dependency Unit (HDU) while 242 are in the general wards.
A total of 325,592 Kenyans have been vaccinated, with Nairobi, Nakuru, Uasin Gishu, Kisumu, and Kiambu counties having recorded the highest total number of vaccinations.
