The 33rd edition of the Africa Cup of Nations (now taking place in 2022) will feature the top international sides from across Africa and they will all be wearing unique attire at the tournament.
GOAL takes a look at what the likes of Super Eagle’s Emmanuel Dennis, Black Stars’ Andre Ayew, and more players, will be wearing at the African competition set to kick-off on January 9 to February 6 in Cameroon.
GOAL will keep updating the new kits as they are unveiled.
Algeria – Home & Away kit
Defending champions Algeria will rock in their traditional home white primary jersey and it also has green colour decorated on it via its Adidas shoulder stripes and side sections.
Meanwhile, the green away kit was unveiled by Adidas in 2021 and they used them during their Afcon qualifier against Zambia.
Burkina Faso – Home & Away Kit
Burkina Faso’s home jersey is made by local brand Tovio with the usual colours of green and red with yellow details and a red stripe with a yellow star inspired by the flag.
The away jersey is based on the same design as the home shirt, with a striking red and green stripe and a yellow star.
Cape Verde – Home & Away Kit
Cape Verde’s kit for the 2021 Afcon is produced by Adidas and the home kit is blue with orange brandings and yellow.
The away shirt is white with blue stripes on the sleeves.
Ivory Coast – Home & Away Kit
Ivory Coast’s new Puma home jersey includes a striking orange with elephant-inspired pattern coupled with orange shorts and socks.
The away jersey is dominated by white, surrounded by orange logos on the chest and a dazzling pattern on the front in grey.
Egypt – Home & Away kit
The home jersey is red with white logos and black used for parts of the sleeves while the away shirt features a white base with red variations on the sleeve chains.
Equatorial Guinea – Home & Away kit
The latest Equatorial Guinea jersey was done by Errea Sport and incorporates a red home, a white away, and a blue third kit.
All the three jerseys use a recently rounded neck modern, bespoke Errea design, and the country’s flag is placed on the upper backs of the kits.
Ethiopia – Home & Away kit
The Walia Ibex’s kit is manufactured by Umbro and the home jersey features a series of triangular diagonals in varying green on the front, finished with an emerald collar.
Meanwhile, the away jersey is yellow in colour and made in traditional style.
Gabon – Home & Away Kit
Gabon’s home kit made by manufacturers Kappa contains the traditional yellow as the dominant colour, the logos on the chest and sleeves are blue while the away kit is white with a similar pattern to the one used on the sleeves for the home kit.
Ghana – Home & Away Kit
The new jerseys for the Black Stars was designed by German kit manufacturers Puma, who have been the West African team’s official partners since 2005.
Ghana’s new home kit is largely white in colour and reflects the intricate art of weaving, rich in detail and steeped in traditional beauty while the away version is largely yellow, with a balance of black designs in both.
Morocco – Home & Away kit
The Atlas Lion’s collection of Puma jerseys features the traditional red, green, and white for the home kit with a unique graphic in red running across the shoulders.
Meanwhile, the away jersey features a red collar and green branding.
Nigeria – Home & Away Kit
The home jersey, done by American sportswear producer Nike, is designed green-white-green similar to the West Africa country’s national flag and it is a follow-up to Nigeria’s stunning 2018 World Cup kit.
The away jersey contains graphic detail on the cuffs, collar, and lateral stripes.
Senegal – Home & Away Kit
The Lions of Teranga’s kit is manufactured by Puma and the home jersey is white with green logos and bracelets, featuring a traditional pattern on the front and sleeves.
The away jersey is green with bright logos and borders while the shorts have the same colour as the shirt.
Tunisia – Home & Away kit
The Carthage Eagles’ kit is manufactured by Kappa and the home shirt is white, while the away jersey will be primarily red in colour.
Both tops use the same graphic design on the front – that of the bald eagle that is closely associated with the badge and the national team.
Zimbabwe – Home & Away kit
The Warriors’ home jersey courtesy of Umbro South Africa is yellow in colour with the red, black, and green of the Zimbabwe national flag appearing on the front area while the away jersey is green in colour, detailed with black, white, and yellow.
