Chiefs’ Patrick Mahomes makes quick strikes to Robinson, Hardman

KANSAS CITY, Mo. — Demarcus Robinson made his first catch of the game on Sunday against the Baltimore Ravens a spectacular one. Robinson made a one-handed catch in the end zone and then did a nice job of getting his second foot down inbounds to complete an 18-yard touchdown catch from Patrick Mahomes.

On the Kansas City Chiefs’ next drive, Mahomes exploited broken coverage and found Mecole Hardman wide open for an 83-yard score. It was the second-longest pass of Mahomes’ career. He had an 89-yarder in Week 17 last season.

Hardman, a rookie from Georgia, reached 21.7 mph on his TD catch, the fastest speed by any ball carrier on a touchdown this season, per NFL Next Gen Stats.

According to ESPN Stats & Information, it’s Mahomes’ 14th consecutive game with multiple passing touchdowns, breaking a tie for the second-longest streak in NFL history. He can catch Peyton Manning next week. Manning had 15 games in a row with multiple passing TDs with the Broncos in 2013 and 2014.
