Two brothers miraculously survived after they fell some 33 feet to escape a burning building.
The children, aged three and 10, were caught by a crowd of people who’d gathered below.
Dramatic footage, above, shows the younger boy being dropped out of a window of an apartment block in Grenoble, southwest France, on Tuesday.
His older brother then leaps out.
Both have their falls cushioned.
The children were treated for possible smoke inhalation, reported the Associated Press. Otherwise, they were unharmed. Two members of the crowd broke bones in the astonishing rescue.
The cause of the blaze remains unclear.
Éric Piolle, the mayor of Grenoble, said the incident highlighted the city’s “tradition of solidarity and mutual help.”
