DCI Detectives from the Transnational Organized Crime Unit have arrested Ruth Ouma, the wife to notorious trafficker Tom Ouma.
Ms Ouma was arrested in Roysambu, Nairobi following a warrant of arrest issued by the JKIA lawcourts Chief Magistrate.
The suspect has been on the run since the arrest of her husband.
The arrest is connected with the impounding of 368.5 kilograms of bhang worth at least Ksh.11M on the Nakuru-Nairobi Highway in early August.

Tom Ouma Aero; a notorious drug trafficker who has been operating with impunity in Nairobi was today arrested by a combined team of @DCI_Kenya Transnational Organised Crime Unit(TOCU), Special Services Unit(SSU) & Anti Narcotics Unit(ANU) detectives from his hideout in Utawala.

Detectives say the suspect who is in police custody is believed to sponsor gangs in Korogocho, Huruma and Dandora to protect his trafficking business.
Two other suspects; Paul Ochieng and Stephen Wandera were also arrested during the sting operation.
