See all the pieces that people are talking about.
The couture shows have officially kicked off in Paris, and although day two is only just upon us, there’s been a gallery-worthy amount of showstopping pieces on display already.
Dior’s Maria Grazia Chiuri took her inspiration from ancient Greece for S/S20, and posed the question, “What if women ruled the world?” Liquid silk dresses walked the runway alongside soft tulle confections, all of which spoke to a highly feminine aesthetic. Over at Chanel, Virginie Viard recreated the garden at the Abbey of Aubazine, the orphanage where Coco Chanel spent many of her formative years. The resulting collection was full of monochromatic separates, schoolgirl-inspired dresses and Peter Pan collars. Plus, Lebanese designer Georges Hobeika delivered a collection full of red carpet-worthy designs, which we’re certain we’ll see IRL in the coming months.
