Four suspected gangsters have been gunned down by police officers in Komarock along Kangundo road.
Confirming the incident, Buruburu OCPD Adamson Bungei said probe into the matter has been launched.
“Our officers pursued the suspects and ordered the assailants to surrender but, instead, they opened fire on police who responded by gunning them down. We have started investigations into the incident,” he said.
Reports say that suspects had high tailed it to the Total petrol station in Komarock before opening fire on police officers who were hot on their wake.
In the ensuing shoot-out, four of them were gunned down and 2 pistols and 14 rounds of ammunition recovered.
A police officer was also injured during the shoot out and is receiving treatment at the Mama Lucy Hospital.
