Goff to sign 4-year extension with Rams

The Los Angeles Rams are signing quarterback Jared Goff to a four-year extension, tying him to team for next six seasons through 2024, a source told ESPN’s Adam Schefter.

Financial terms of the deal weren’t immediately available. The Rams were hopeful the deal would be finalized by Wednesday evening, according to a source.

Goff had been set to earn $4.3 million this season and $22.8 million in 2020.

News of the extension was first reported by NFL.com.

Last season, Goff, 24, led the Rams to their first Super Bowl appearance since the 2001 season. He has twice been named a Pro Bowl player.

Goff is 24-14 as a starter and 24-7 in McVay’s two seasons as coach. He has passed for 9,581 yards and 65 touchdowns, with 26 interceptions, and has led the Rams to back-to-back division titles and an NFC Conference championship.
