Houston guard DeJon Jarreau was ejected for biting Cincinnati’s Keith Williams with 6:16 remaining in the Bearcats’ 64-62 victory on Saturday.
Jarreau had lost his dribble and in the process of diving for the loose ball, his mouth connected with the back of Williams’ left calf.
Officials reviewed the play and determined that Jarreau bit Williams, saying they saw evidence of the bite on his leg.
Jarreau was assigned a flagrant 2 foul and ejected from the game.
After the game, Houston coach Kelvin Sampson told the school’s student newspaper, The Daily Cougar, that he reviewed the film and believes “there was no bite.”
