Kalonzo Musyoka’s Orengo-led team files four complaints at DCI against DP Ruto

Wiper Party leader Kalonzo Musyoka now want Deputy President William Ruto grilled on allegations of abuse of office and criminal libel.

While addressing the media from the Directorate of Criminal Investigations Headquarters on Friday, Senators James Orengo and Mutula Kilonzo who are representing the former Vice President said they had filed a formal complaint against the DP.

Senator Orengo said they had filed four complaints against the second-in-command among them incitement to violence and uttering false information.

According to Orengo, the DCI boss George Kinoti said DP Ruto will be required to present himself before the DCI over the matter.

Although no timelines were given for DP Ruto’s grilling, Orengo told the media that they were hoping to have a case in court within four weeks.

The latest comes just days after DP Ruto claimed that the Wiper leader acquired his 200-acre land in Yatta illegally.

The war of word appeared to have been precipitated by Kalonzo who had claimed that DP Ruto’s fingerprints were all over major graft scandals whose result was the theft of billions in taxpayers money.

While fending off the attack, Kalonzo had invited the relevant agencies to probe accusations, insisting that he is a man of integrity.

And on Friday morning he appeared before the DCI for grilling and presented the legal and official documents detailing the land ownership.

He asked DP Ruto to follow suit and subject himself to scrutiny over his wealth.
