Kenyan artist catches Steve Harvey’s attention – Nairobi News

A Kenyan pencil artist may have struck gold after one of his pencil drawings went viral and got recognition from American comedian Steve Harvey.

The piece of art was a headshot of Harvey complete with his signature mustache, smile and wrinkled eyes.

Collins Omondi Okelle shared the portrait of Harvey saying he hopes Harvey comes across it. And sure enough, the post went viral and caught the eyes of Harvey.

“Complete! Pencil drawing of @IAmSteveHarvey Will be a real boost to my hustle if you have this in your gallery. Waiting with bated breath #steveharveypencil #JaduongArtWorks,” Okello tweeted.

He then posted again and asked netizens to help in tagging Harvey.

“Pencil drawing in progress of @IAmSteveHarvey by me, with love from Kenya. Help me tag him so he can see it. #steveharveypencil #JaduongArtWorks” Okello added.

And Harvey responded, “Now I’m looking for you it would be my honor to have this …. what size is it and I’ll be in Joburgh and Botswana soon let’s hook up then”

Harvey also noted the masterpiece work was Okello’s God-given talent and everyone has one but need needs to follow their dream/talent to realize it.

“Everyone has a God-given gift. This is what following your gift looks like, just incredible,” tweeted Harvey.
