Kenya’s Covid-19 cases shy of 20,000 as 100 recover

A total of 100 people have been discharged from various facilities across the country, pushing the recoveries to 8,121.

In the daily Covid-19 status brief, Health CAS Rashid Aman (pictured) also said that another 788 persons have tested positive for the coronavirus from 5,521 samples tested in the last 24 hours.

This number now pushes the national tally to 19,913.

So far, Kenya has tested 295,280 samples since the first case was reported on March 13.

785 of the new cases are Kenyans and three are foreigners, with the youngest being a one-year-old while the oldest is 89 years.

The country has also lost 14 patients to the disease, bringing the death toll to 235.
