New lease of life! KFCB CEO offers three things to comedian Mulamwah

The tide has turned for comedian Mulamwah, hours after he bleakly announced that trolls had finally had their wish and made him quit after years of cyberbullying.

In his corner are several celebrities, fans and personalities such as the Kenya Film and Classification board CEO Dr Ezekiel Mutua who in a tweet asked the comedian not to give up.

Dr Mutua promised to get Mulamwah a new shirt, offered to provide mentorship and extended a new lifeline to the comic by making him an ambassador of clean content.

“I hear that twitterates are driving @mulamwah out of comedy & into depression. Bro, you are a too talented man. Pick yourself up and give me a call. I will buy you a new shirt, mentor you and make you an ambassador of clean content. The best way to deal with cyberbullies is to refuse to give up!” tweeted Mutua.

Sentiments shared by singer Esther Akoth, better known as Akothee, who in her message buttressed earlier calls to Mulamwah that quitting, despite all the challenges, was not an option.

Akothee went further to opine on Instagram that critics hold no sway and that he should focus on what has driven him through to where he is now as one of the top sough after vine creators in Kenya.

“Mulamwah, you are going nowhere my friend. Tuko hapa na wewe. Listen, never stop doing what you are doing because someone has said you are not good enough,” said Akothee.

Expounding on why he set ablaze his trademark shirt and closed shop, Mulamwah via a video said bullies had driven him and his fiancé Carol over the edge.

“It wasn’t an easy decision to make. Am sorry guys, what was to make me happy makes me sadder, more enemies than friends, too much negativity, and trolls. I wasn’t here for fame and bad blood but for fun. Shukran sana kwa the support from the fans and everyone else who made it a success. To those who always wished the worst for me I hope y’all happy now, the stage is all yours. My prayer is that no one else goes through the same again.

“I once posted @carrol_sonie while in a hospital bed, we had just lost our baby at 3 months following stress after being trolled online. I have never been the same since then. We shall still meet on different entertainment platforms, social media ADS and product campaigns too,” he captioned.
