Marini Naturals CEO, Michelle Ntalami on June 23, 2020, clocked 36 years.
In celebration, the drop-dead gorgeous social media sensation treated netizens to three stunning pictures of herself coupled with 36 life lessons learnt over time.
“Welcome to my queendom! This queen turns 36 today! Sharing with you 36 gems I’ve learned in life as I turn 36!” she stated.
In the list shared on her Instagram page, the business mogul highlighted prayer as the first and most important aspect of life explaining that for one to be successful, God comes first.
“1. Put God first in everything and you will never be last.”
2. Love, respect and cherish your parents, if you’re lucky to still have them around. They’re probably the only people who’ll ever genuinely want the best for you.
3. Protect your energy at all costs. Walk away from anything or anyone that constantly hurts you and never return.
4. If you care about what other people think about you, you will always be their prisoner. Quit people-pleasing and live your life.
5. Sexy is an attitude, not a bicep or waist size. And everyone deserves to look and feel sexy. Define it by your own standards, and work hard for it! Work on your personality too, otherwise it’s just “congratulations on your body.”
6. Don’t get lost in the shallowness of this world and social media. There is a real, beautiful life out there beyond pretty IG pictures, followers, likes, TikTok videos, cyberbullying, trolls, latest fads or a bluetick after your name. The real ‘verification’ is still being someone kind and notable even if social media shut down today.
7. Closure is not necessarily sitting down with someone who hurt you to ask them why they did. It’s finally “closing” the chapter in your heart that desires to do so.
8. Forgive only when you feel ready to. And never forget the lesson it taught you.
9. The intensity with which you love anything, is also the same intensity in which you will hurt.
10. Always be your biggest cheerleader. This world is ready to define you, and more often than not negatively. Don’t be your own worst enemy.
11. The only person you ever need to know, understand and listen to, is yourself. Fuck everyone else.
12. Jealousy is real, and closer to you than you think. Stay woke.
13. Health is wealth. Don’t take your body for granted. Exercise, eat right, move your body and keep fit
14. Never play small. Take risks. You will either learn, or win!
15. Always know when it’s time to LEAVE. The party, the job, the ‘squad’, the relationship! Sometimes holding on cuts you even deeper than what broke you. ?
16. Social Media is a facade. No one is constantly “living their best life,” myself included. Folks out here are battling depression, unemployment, brokenness, failure, sickness, heartbreak, infidelity, loss and so many other unpostable truths. Others are not what they seem on here, showing you a “lavish” lifestyle but they’re barely getting by, are extremely pretentious, or have questionable morals. Never compare yourself to what you see here. Post your truth and walk your path.
17. Your comfort zone is your biggest enemy. That uncomfortable push-up, that uncomfortable conversation with someone you love, that uncomfortable career move, that uncomfortable leap of faith, is what will get you your “wish” body, love, lifestyle, etc. You can either act, or keep wishing. It’s on you.
18. Stop apologizing when you should really be saying fuck you.
19. People with pure souls, kind hearts and genuine intentions are extremely rare to find. When you get someone like this, never take them for granted.
20. Money is not the root of all evil. Lack of money is. Stop being afraid of money, call it and own it! You deserve to be wealthy. The ethics around how you earn your money, and your intentions with it is what matters.
21. The fire inside you must burn brighter than the one around you. Don’t let haters, naysayers or setbacks deter you from your dreams.
22. People will always have their own version of you in their heads. This is not your business.
23. In the battle of egos, the loser is actually the winner.
24. What matters in life is not that we fell, but how we rose. Pick yourself up and keep going!
25. Depression is real. We have ALL been depressed at some point. Sometimes it looks like a CEO going to work every day, and sometimes it looks like a broken girl lying on her bathroom floor. Whatever it is for you, hold on knowing it’s only a passing cloud. Never switch off your light, your sun is soon coming through!
26. If you’ve hurt someone and they meant something to you, apologize, make amends and resolve it, before it’s too late.
27. You need to remain calm and collected, but you also need to know when to tell people to fuck off. Both are extremely important. Find the balance.
28. Stop second-guessing yourself. The fact that you can’t stop thinking about it is your guardian angel forcing you into greatness. Shoot your shot or someone else will.
29. Your mindset is your greatest asset. Whether you think you’re a failure, or successful, good-looking or ugly, you’re right.
30. It’s okay to change course at any point in your life, if you feel your purpose or passion has changed. Reinventing yourself and changing your ideals, purpose and beliefs is a big part of life.
31. Don’t bother hunting down people who have hurt you or wronged you. Disassociation, happiness and success is the best revenge.
32. Don’t try to work on several things at the same time. Focus on one, do it right and do it well.
33. The Universe keeps receipts. Don’t do people dirty. It will catch up with you.
34. Vibrate higher. Cut off low-lives and leeches. You can either hang around losers and gossip about winners, or hang around winners, and talk about winning together.
35. If you have loved, gave it your best shot, and you still got hurt. That was actually your biggest win, and that was their biggest loss.
36. Family is not necessarily a blood relation but a soul connection.
Bonus: Love wins.
