Not only that but stepping into my 30’s has been like a surprise twist – even better than I imagined. It’s a decade wrapped in wisdom, security and stability, and a reassuring sense of self. I also love living life with greater humility and gratitude. Moreover, there are plenty of beauty secrets and health essentials that allow us to ease into our older years more gracefully than ever. If the battle against aging has been an uphill struggle for you, this is your sign to let it go. After countless years of experimenting with my skin, I’ve curated some proven skincare hacks tailor-made for those in their 30’s and beyond.

Use Sunscreen Daily (and Reapply)

I am sure this is something that has been instilled in you time and time again, but it’s one of the most important things (if not the most important thing) to do if you want to prevent aging. Regardless of what your day looks like, you should always be applying a generous amount of sunscreen in the morning. Whether you are outside or indoors, the sun’s rays are everywhere and long-term exposure to the sun can cause wrinkles, dark spots, and discoloration.

If you do find yourself out-and-about, consider investing in a sunscreen that you can bring with you on-the-go. There are sunscreen sticks and sunscreen sprays with SPF protection that make reapplying a breeze. So no more excuses!

 

Retinol or Retinoid

Everyone in their 20’s and beyond should be integrating some form of retinol or retinoid product in their routine. This Holy Grail ingredient stimulates collagen production, while also minimizing and preventing lines and wrinkles. If you have yet to incorporate this age-reversal ingredient into your regimen, start slow and work your way up because you might have to build your tolerance. If you are able to exfoliate 1 – 2 times per week, you are guaranteed to see results!

The under-eye area is the most delicate part of the face because the skin is much thinner, making it more prone to wrinkles, eye bags, and puffiness. It’s also where signs of aging will be the most prominent. This fact alone was enough to make me spring into action and invest in a cream that is especially designer for under the eyes.
