Liverpool’s Mohamed Salah was stretched off the pitch after his head clashed with Newcastle goalkeeper Martin Dubravka’s leg in Saturday’s Premier League match at St James’ Park.
The Egyptian striker slumped to the ground in the 68th minute after he was inadvertedly hit as Dubravka leaped into the air to clear out a cross.
He stayed there for several minutes before medical staff assisted him off the field, his hands covering his eyes as he appeared to shed tears.
Salah had earlier scored in the match, and was replaced by Divock Origi.
