Since Utah Jazz center Rudy Gobert tested positive for the coronavirus on March 11, professional and collegiate sports alike have taken a hiatus. With much of the United States being urged to stay home to stop the spread of the virus, many NBA players have taken to gaming to pass the time. Hall of Fame center Shaquille O’Neal, however, took a different approach. O’Neal and his sons Shareef, a rising sophomore at LSU, and Shaqir, 16, took to social media to share the at-home concerts they have put on in their free time.
Shaqir and Shareef posed as DJs, using water bottles as tracks, to put on their own version of the annual Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival.
Shaq followed suit and held a kitchen concert of his own as his sons danced in the audience.
And finally, the trio took to TikTok to show off their dance moves.
In addition to appearances on his sons’ social media, the eldest O’Neal can be seen on Netflix’s “Tiger King.” Though the show has garnered attention in recent weeks, it seems dancing will remain the preferred pastime in the O’Neal household.
