Staff at Vigilance House to undergo mandatory Covid-19 tests – Nairobi News

Police officers and members of Staff at Vigilance House will as from Friday (today) undergo mandatory Covid-19 tests.

In a memo, Deputy IG Joseph Ndirangu said that the tests will be carried out at Vigilance House.

“Covid-19 tests, this will be carried out tomorrow morning, Friday 17/7/2020 at 1000 hrs here in Vigilance House conference room,” the memo read in part.

Mr Ndirangu further asked all leaders in various offices at Vigilance House to ensure that they provide all the names of officers under their command.

He further said that the exercise was mandatory since plans were underway to ensure that staff show a Covid-19 clearance certificate in order to access the building.

The move comes at a time when the number of positive cases in the country is increasing.

On Thursday, the Kenyan government through the Ministry of Health said that a total of 11,252 positive cases
