Wazito FC 0-3 Posta Rangers: More misery for Stewart Hall’s side
The Mailmen handed their host a seventh consecutive loss in the top tier game with a convincing display
Wazito FC have lost their seventh consecutive league match after falling 3-0 to Posta Rangers in a Kenyan Premier League (KPL) match at Kenyatta Stadium in Machakos.
A Joseph Mbugi brace and a late Clinton Kisiavuki strike were enough to hand the promoted side another loss on Saturday afternoon.
The hosts came into the match psyched up after an improved performance in their losses against heavyweights Gor Mahia and arch-rivals AFC Leopards where they lost 1-0 and 2-0.
The Stewart Hall-led side, however, had to give their best to stand a chance of getting a win against the Mailmen, who had won their last two matches.
It took Wazito just five minutes to realize things were not going according to plan when poor goalkeeping allowed the visitors to score an early goal. The custodian punched the ball into the danger zone and Joseph Mbugi made no mistake from close range.
The Sammy Omollo-led charges doubled the advantage after the hour mark when the moneybags conceded a penalty and the skipper once again held his nerve to complete his brace.
The 2018/19 National Super League (NSL) champions reacted by increasing their tempo hoping to get a goal that could bring them back into the game, but Rangers were watertight at the back.

In their bid to get a goal, Wazito were vulnerable at the back and Clinton Kisiavuki sealed the win with a 90th-minute strike.
The result ensures the Mailmen retains their ninth position with 28 points as Wazito remain in the 14th position with 11 points.
