Will Smith denies he gave permission to wife Jada Pinkett Smith’s ‘years-long affair’

Will Smith has denied that he ever gave his wife Jada Pinkett Smith permission to have an affair. It comes after singer August Alsina, 27, claimed that he was seeing Jada for years.

He said that after forming a friendship with the famous family through their 21-year-old son Jaden in 2015, he embarked on a romantic relationship with Jada, 48. August even went on holiday to Hawaii with the family in 2016 and attended the 2017 BET Awards alongside Jada, who also shares daughter Willow, 19, with Will, 51.

But Will’s representatives have told The Sun that the accusations are “wrong”.

August dropped the bombshell in a YouTube interview with Angela Yee.

He said: “I actually sat down with Will [Smith] and had a conversation due to the transformation from their marriage to life partnership … he gave me his blessing.”

Speaking about his alleged affair with Jada, he said: “I totally gave myself to that relationship for years of my life, and I truly and really, really deeply love and have a ton of love for her. I devoted myself to it, I gave my full self to it- so much so to the point that I can die right now and be okay with knowing that I truly gave myself to somebody.”

He added:  “And I really loved a person, I experienced that and I know what that feels like- and some people never get that in this lifetime.

“I know that I am completely blessed and this conversation is difficult because it is so much, that it would be hard for people to understand but once it starts to affect me and my livelihood, I have to speak up about my truth.”

Jada and Will have been together since 1994 and tied the knot in 1997. Rumours about their relationship have been swirling since 2004, and Jada has admitted herself that things haven’t always been plain sailing.

Speaking on her Facebook Watch show Red Table Talk, she once opened up about Will’s “betrayals of the heart” and why she chose to stay with him.

She said: “I’m asked a lot about, ‘Is there infidelity in your relationship with Will?’

“And it’s like, ‘No, but there’ve been other betrayals of the heart that have been far bigger than I could even think in regards to an infidelity situation’.”

Will also once referred to the tense situation, saying: “I was devastated even worse than a divorce. We broke up within our marriage and got back together again.

“We had to rebuild with new rules and something way, completely different.”
