Ten years ago in 2008, Iron Man kicked off the Marvel Cinematic Universe, paving the road to where we are now. Twenty-two films later, the Avengers: Endgame premiered on April 22, 2019 in a possible last film of the sequel.

Here are ten facts you may have not known about the Marvel movie sequel.

  1. Both Chris Hemsworth and his brother Liam auditioned for the role of Thor.
  2. Chris Evans turned down the role of Captain America twice before accepting it. He initially was not comfortable taking on that level of commitment and fame.
  1. The idea of Robert Downey Jr being Iron Man’s star had been turned down at first but Jon Favreu, the film’s director, insisted on it.
