All of the Grammy Awards 2021 performers have been unveiled. The performers were confirmed on Sunday by the Recording Academy. The stars who will offer some musical interludes are Bad Bunny, Black Pumas, Cardi B, BTS, Brandi Carlile, DaBaby, Doja Cat, and last year’s Grammy darling, Billie Eilish.
In addition, we can also expect performances from Mickey Guyton, Haim, Brittany Howard, Miranda Lambert, Lil Baby, Dua Lipa, Chris Martin, John Mayer, Megan Thee Stallion, Maren Morris, Post Malone, and Roddy Ricch.
Finally, music superstars and former couple Harry Styles and Taylor Swift will each perform separately at the ceremony on March 14, 2021. The Grammy nominations were previously revealed back in November, with some noticeable snubs being picked up on.
The ceremony was previously scheduled for January 31, 2021 but was postponed due to a spike in Covid-19 cases in Los Angeles, California. Some of the performances are set to be pre-recorded, while others will be shown live when the ceremony airs on television.
Speaking to Variety, first-time Grammy executive producer Ben Winston said: “We’ve designed a set that you could argue makes it an even more exciting show.
“The performers and nominees are each other’s audience, so it’s a room of incredible musicians, all safely distanced from each other, and every 45 minutes a new four groups come in and the [previous] four go out.”
He also added that they chose to announce all performers at once to avoid a sense of hierarchy to performers. The ceremony, which will be hosted by Trevor Noah, is also set to pay tribute to independent music venues that have been affected by the Covid-19 pandemic.
