ODM leader Raila Odinga left the country on Tuesday evening for China to attend the second Belt and Road Forum for International Cooperation.
The African Union High Representative for Infrastructure Development shared pictures of his departure, promising to make the case for synergies in infrastructure planning and development by embracing international standards.
The opposition leader will accompany President Uhuru Kenyatta at the forum in China that kicked off on Tuesday before proceeding to Saudi Arabia on Sunday.
Kenyans have pleaded with him to be cautious as he witnesses the signing of a new loan from the Chinese government that will extend the Standard Gauge Railway from Naivasha to Kisumu.
Here is what Kenyans want Raila to do while in China.
When negotiating for these infrastructure loans make it a requirement for any contractor building the SGR to source for construction machinery and Equipment from Local Franchise holders.
Let us promote local businesses, to create more jobs for our people. Thank you.
