Look what my wife got me – Burna boy sparks marriage rumors

Nigerian singer Damini Ebunoluwa Ogulu, popularly known as Burna Boy, has rekindled marriage rumors by insinuating that he might have married his long-time London-based rapper girlfriend Stefflon Don. Through a recent video shared on his Instagram page, Burna Boy is seen repeatedly calling the rapper his wife. “Look what my wife got me mehn,” he said, referring to a necklace he was putting on. “You see, you need a wife like my own, that’s the problem,” he added.

Although the two have never shied away from publicly showing their love for each other, there were rumors that they got engaged in February this year. This is after Stefflon Don shared a photo of herself wearing what appeared to be an engagement ring. On several occasions, Burna Boy has revealed that Stefflon Don is his wife, confessions that always leave their fans speculating that a lowkey wedding could have taken place.

Last year, when the two first went public with their relationship, the Grammy awards nominee couldn’t help but blush when he talked about Stefflon during an interview with Ebro on his show ‘Beats1’ on Hot 97 FM in the United States of America. “On a more serious note, that’s my wifey. If you wanted a wifey, she’s like the most perfect person with that perfect description. Unfortunately, she’s mine now…” he said.

Last year, the English singer Stephanie Victoria Allen better known to her fans as Stefflon Don, denied that her relationship with Burna Boy was on the rocks. In a message on Instagram, Stefflon Don poured cold water on reports which were circulating on social media of Burna Boy and a Gambian actress getting back together as old news. “Old videos. Please let it rest; we good over here. Thanks,” Stefflon posted, including a screengrab of her and an all-smiles Burna Boy on Face Time.

According to Nigerian media, the Ghana-based actress was allegedly in Burna Boy’s life before meeting the English songbird. The star who is riding high with his new album ‘African Giant’ made his relationship with the Boasty hitmaker official in March 2019. Burna Boy recently shared his vision of a united African diaspora during a recent appearance on New York radio station HOT 97.

The Nigerian Afro-fusion star video-called into the studio amid promotions for his recently-released, Twice as Tall. Released in August, the 15-track record was executive produced by Bad Boy Records mogul, Sean “Diddy” Combs. While speaking to the hosts, Burna Boy revealed that Diddy executive-produced the entire album from his home in Los Angeles while Burna Boy was quarantining at his London home.

“It was actually quite interesting. He’s a legend. I mean, he’s a larger-than-life guy, you know? That was a real experience for me, especially because we had to do it all over Zoom like we’re doing now. So, imagine nights and nights of this,” he said. “Puff will be in a studio, and then we’d be on Zoom. It’s wild. We had to kind of create the same environments in different places at the same time.”
