Shix Kapienga’s message to Rapcha the Sayantist as she exits Hot 96

Multi-talented radio presenter cum actress Nancy Wanjiku popularly known as Shix Kapienga has exited Hot 96.

Taking to social media, the former Drop Zone show host bid her co-host cum comedian Rapcha the Sayantist goodbye as she appreciated him for the time they spent working together and the memories they shared.

“Rapchiziiiiiiiiii @rapcha.sayantist It has been one amazing journey, and I will most definitely miss our crazy nights on air. #Bless,” she wrote.  To which Rapcha responded with two broken heart emojis.

The announcement came as a surprise especially to her listeners and fans. A move that saw some camp at her Instagram account to wish the presenter well in her future endeavours.

The next chapter will be awesome,” stated comedienne Teacher Wanjiku. “Once a star always a star. Bless you,” added gospel singer Holy Dave.

While actress Brenda Wairimu noted, To bigger and better things mresh mfresh, kilakitu kwa mpangilio wake. I will never forget those times too. The show was nice.”

Before landing the gig at Hot 96, the presenter had tried her hands at film and landed a few notable roles in widely acclaimed films and TV shows.

Shix first made an appearance on the Kenyan series called Beba Beba where she played the role of Tasha – a cheeky niece to a religious woman.

She then went on to star in Shuga Season 2 where she took on the role of Baby – a young girl assaulted by an older, close relative. Then came her role in Nairobi Half Life where she portrayed a commercial sex worker, Amina.

Shix Kapienga also made a brief appearance on the long-running comedy show Papa Shirandula among others.
