Migori Woman Representative Pamela Odhiambo has urged young men to stay away from ‘businesswomen’ who seek to draw financial benefits from love.
In a two-minute video interview, Ms Odhiambo asks young people to guard their loins.
“You need to guard your loin and stand strong, because we have seen a lot of emotional disintegration of the boy child. Over the years we have talked about the girl child but I would want the boy child to know we are still here for you,” said Ms Odhiambo.
She added: “This concept of falling into depression and then committing suicide or picking a panga to kill somebody else because you cannot bear the frustration please desist from it.”
MONEY
She urged young men to never base their relationships on money.
“I am talking to my young sons out there that if you wanted a girl and they refused to love you that is not the only beautiful girl on earth look elsewhere.
“Any girl who wants to love you because of money please take it from me that is a businesswoman,” said Ms Odhiambo.
A recently released report by Counting Dead Women Kenya indicated that upto 40 women have been murdered since January over relationships that turned sour. Nairobi County leads in the number of victims.
