Six senior officers of the Communications Authority of Kenya (CA) were on Thursday arrested by Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission (EACC) detectives over alleged procurement irregularities.
The arrest comes after the Director of Public Prosecutions (DPP) gave consent for their apprehension and prosecution after being investigated over claims of involvement in procurement irregularities during the evaluation of a tender for renovation of the CA’s stand at the Agricultural Society of Kenya Show.
The anti graft body forwarded the file to the DPP on January 16, 2019.

Kibe – Tender Committee Member, Leo Kibet Boruett – Tender Committee Member, Vincent Ngundi – Tender Committee Member, Jane Jeptanui Rotich – Tender Committee Member and Philip Kiplangat – Tender Committee Member.

DPP Noordin Hajji, in his letter dated May 6, 2019 returned the file to the EACC and gave a go ahead for them to be arraigned.
