Iam in denial we have already reached the midway point of summer. It seemed to have gone in a blink of any eye but I am determined to not let the rest of the season slip away. I want to do my best to savor the moments before we switch gears and get ready for fall. A lot of really cute, mainstream fashion trends emerged the past couple of months and I want to make sure I am hitting on these while the days are still long and the weather is still warm. Luckily, a majority of these pieces can actually help transition your wardrobe. Here are some of the hottest summer 2020 trends you need to incorporate into your wardrobe before the season is over!
Naturally, there are always some sort of hats that trend at this time of the year because the sun is so bright and we are often spending more time outdoors. In 2020, men and women of the fashion world cannot seem to get enough of bucket hats. They add a certain pop to your look that a normal baseball cap couldn’t achieve. Now, there are so many variations and fabrications (straw, nylon, chambray, etc) of bucket hats so you can find one that suits your style best!
Strappy sandals were an absolute must going into spring and fall this season but there is one true winner amongst them all – the euro heel. Components of a great euro heel include a stocky heel, many straps and a square toe. Depending on your summer vibe, you can stick to the tried and true neutral (black, or white) or opt for something more punchy like a baby blue or lime.
Like a hat, sunglasses might even be considered more of a summertime necessity than a fleeting trend. However, 2020 is all about the acetate sunglasses or frames that are made of strong, nylon-based plastic. Large and in charge eyewear has been seen a lot these days and acetate framed sunglasses in black, clear, and tortoise shell add so much style to your everyday look. This is such an easy, affordable way to elevate your outfits.
So you might not have been able to head to the tropics this summer but that should not stop you from wearing all those cute bathing suits you have! Live up the rest of the season by rocking your favorite suits – even if it means just wearing them to sunbathe in the backyard. Some of the hottest looks are vintage-inspired one pieces and 90’s-inspired two pieces with high waisted bottoms.
Summer 2020 trends are definitely all about texturizing your outfits. Tops with romantic details and puff sleeves (the more voluminous, the better) are one of the top items of summer 2020 so far. I love how feminine but powerful these textured sleeve tops are and it is a trend that I foresee drifting into autumn too. So make sure you stock up now so you can have them for the rest of the summer, as well as the start of fall!
